1. What is Walk for the Underdog?
It is a 501c3, all-volunteer organization that raises funds for dogs in Rescue in Los Angeles.WALKERS and SPONSORS:
2. How do I register as a walker?
Click the “Register Now” button on the HOME page and fill in your information.3. What does it mean to sponsor a walker?
Each Walker asks friends, colleagues, and family to make a DONATION in the Walker’s name.4. How do I sponsor a walker?
Click the “Sponsor a Walker” button on the HOME page to make an ONLINE OR MAIL-IN DONATION. Or you can give cash or a check to the Walker of your choice.5. As a registered walker, how do I find out who has sponsored me?
There is no automated way to do this.6. Can I bring my dog(s)? YES!!!!
VENDORS:
7. What is the vendor fee? $200.00 (previously participating vendors pay $180.00) Includes 10x10 booth, tent, 6’ table and 2 chairs.8. How big is the vendor booth?
Booth size: 10x109. Can I get more than one booth?
YES if available.
You would pay for two.10. What is the size of the tables for vendors that you provide?
6 foot.11. Can I bring my own vendor set up? YES

DETAILS OF WALK:
14. Where do I park and how much is parking?
FREE on the streets near the park. Parking inside the park is for VENDOR UNLOADING ONLY! Vehicles must be removed after unloading is completed. Additionally, there are several parking structures nearby, one is located across Curson Avenue.15. How long is the walk? 2 miles
16. Where do we start and finish the walk?
Starts and ends in the La Brea Tar Pits Park. Specific location in the park will be announced at the event.17. What time is the walk?
Registration is at 10.00am at the Registration table at the entrance. The Walk begins at 11.00am18. Can I bring my dog(s) on the walk? YES
19. Can I walk without a dog? YES
20. Can I walk a dog that is up for adoption?
You will need to ask one of the Rescues about this on the day of the event.21. Does each person participating in the walk have to register and raise the minimum required amount of $25?
YES unless you are walking with a child.VOLUNTEERS:
22. How long must a volunteer commit to?
3 hours minimum. All day preferred.RESCUES/ADOPTIONS
23. Can I adopt a dog straight from the event?
NO, but you can apply to adopt a specific dog that day. All dog Rescue organizations require a form to be filled in with basic contact information. They usually require a home check first.24. How much raised money goes to the rescues?
All the money we raise goes to the dogs! Walk for the Underdog volunteers donate all their services.
